Holmenkollen Ski Jump (Norway)
The Holmenkollen ski jump in Oslo, Norway, was rebuilt again for the 2011 World Championships. The refurbishment included a new landing ramp, elevated above the ground. This concrete structure also gives support for the jump ramp and the in-run. The construction was continuously cast over a period of several days, an effort made extremely challenging by the curved shape.
The Holmenkollen Ski Arena also includes an area used for biathlon and cross country skiing. Holmenkollen is the most visited tourist attraction in Norway.
Heidelberg Materials in Norway supplied building materials for the project.
