Svinesund Bridge (Norway)
The new Svinesund Bridge connects Norway and Sweden at the Iddefjord. It was completed in 2006. The bridge is 704 m long and has a clearance high of 55 m above water. The bridge is built with a load-bearing arch in concrete and road elements made of steel. The main span of the bridge measures 247 m. The height clearance is 92 m from the road surface. The Svinesund Bridge is a recipient of the Norwegian Concrete Award Betongtavlen.
